This age group introduces the youngest athletes in the program to ski racing and the race team environment. The focus for this age group is to develop the basic ski racing skills promoted in US Ski and Snowboard's Alpine Training System. This group will explore all of the terrain at Attitash for the season and participate in Attitash Mountain public races along with in-house program events to gain familiarity with racing.
 
Equipment needs:  A full-shell helmet that covers the head and ears, without spoilers or edges that stick out; one pair of, all-mountain skis (not twin tips); poles.
 
Required memberships:
US Ski and Snowboard:  Competitor U10 & under
NHARA:  None

Only siblings of Attitash Race Team athletes in the U10 and up programs may join the U8 program.
